Bunny Head Yoga helps children to develop mental focus as well as physical balance.
We challenge ourselves by going upside down, balancing on one leg, and by watching our breath.
Bunny Head Yoga empowers children with a new skill & often they share it at home with

Girl Power Craft Days

Join us for an afternoon of creativity as we connect as powerful and spirited girls in the world. Each craft day we will explore how we can bring kindness and truth to ourselves and those we touch in the world. Creativity is one of the greatest gifts we have – to infuse the creative with ritual, helps us recognize our place in the world. Art helps us feel more grounded by self-expression. Sometimes we’ll add yoga to help us explore our inner terrain more deeply. The intention is to have fun expressing our deepest-girl-selves.

Last Saturday of the month
Noon – 3:00
$25.00
located in Albany

It’s Always Better At Wilbur…

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Everything is. The food, the sun, swimming, watching the stars…it all just seems to be better at Wilbur Hot Springs. Really. The place is just like that. It was such an honor to be spending my Labor Day weekend with Wilburites. Some have been coming for years, some for their first delicious time, but all happy to be making the billy-goat commute up to the yoga deck above the baths and pool. I am feeling more connected as an instructor these days – that I now know enough to break away from what my past teacher’s have given me and bring my own spin to it. I think of my past teachers and bow down to them – I still have so much to learn. I am a good teacher striving to be a great teacher and with students like the one’s at Wilbur this past weekend, I feel blessed with the opportunity to continue practicing what I know. It is a complete thrill to say “try this” and students dive in- saying “Okay!!” Just fantastic.

More on Riding the Change…

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

There is nothing like real change to knock you off kilter; just ask a perimenopausal woman. For women experiencing “the change” walking the line of imbalance becomes the practice. Riding the Change invites perimenopausal, power-surging women to share the intensity of this life-changing time and celebrate the initiation into a deeper intuition and a more creative self. We’ll discuss midlife issues like: evolving body image, surrendering to physical/physiological changes and shifts in perspectives as aging women. By connecting with other women in this transition you may find a way to walk the often challenging road of perimenopause with the support of others who are walking right along with you. To do yoga is one of the greatest things a gal can do for herself in this time of immense hormonal, physical, and psychological fluxuation. We will do both rigorous and restorative yoga that’s designed to support and soothe as you ride the hormonal roller coaster of “the change”. Using mindfulness and breath work, we’ll connect to ourselves more deeply and begin putting together a toolbox that we can access as we lay awake at 3:00 a.m. while our brain re-wires itself!

All women go through this amazing time and every woman has her story. Join us and share your story as a way of staying sane and present as you enter into your seriously divine feminine. This class is for all levels of yoga – from basic beginner to the seasoned practitioner.

Selected “Best of the East Bay” by the East Bay Express for the “Best Yoga For Perimenopausal Women” give yourself a mini-urban retreat, treat.
